Made in Röshult, Sweden.

In the heart of the forest in Röshult, we at Seger have been knitting socks and beanies with care since 1947. For us, every product is a craft, created with experience, precision and heart. Here you can read about the steps of the sock and beanie production.

Design and technology
Step 1
Design and technology

We want our products to last a long time, which is why we base our design on long-term trends. We want to create timeless collections that don't go out of style and also ensure that we technically create a product that will make the product last longer. For example, in socks that will be used in highly interactive activities, we place extra durable material at the heel to allow the socks to be used longer.

Choose yarn
Step 2
Choose yarn

The process continues with the careful selection of yarn. For each product, we consider several factors; durability, comfort, and performance. Every thread is chosen with precision and purpose, ensuring the final product meets our high standards of quality and longevity.

Knitting
Step 3
Knitting

Our products are knitted with precision using circular and flat knitting machines, but it’s the skilled hands of our production team that make the difference. Before each run, the yarn is manually tied to the machine and every technical setting is carefully checked. It’s a process that requires both knowledge and experience. A true craft honed over decades.

Step 4
First check

When the socks or beanies come off the knitting machine, each piece is carefully examined by hand. We look closely at the structure, the elasticity and the overall finish, ensuring it meets our expectations before moving on to the next step.

To give each product its final shape, we stram the product. we use no chemicals, only water vapor. This stage gives the products their signature look and ensures a comfortable fit. It’s a precise process where temperature, timing, and handling all play an important role and where human touch makes the difference.

Step 6
Last check

Before packaging, every product is inspected one last time. Loose threads are trimmed by hand and seams are checked with care. Only when everything meets our quality standards do we pack the product, ready to be worn and loved for years to come.
